Paul Vixie

Paul Vixie is the "owner" of ISC.ORG, a non-profit software and hosting company. He is an unelected Board Member of the American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN). He is a founder and director of Nominum. Vixie is cofounder of MAPS with Dave Rand. MAPS was subsequently sold to Dave Rand, then to TrendMicro. Vixie is founder of Whitehat, Inc (commercial bulk emailer) with Rodney Joffe and John Levine. Vixie is founder of MIBH, which was sold to AboveNet and then written off completely. AboveNet CTO was Dave Rand. Vixie has a role in PAIX. Vixie was CTO of Metromedia Fiber Network (MFN). MFN bought AboveNet in 1999. In 2000, MFN bought MIBH. In 2001, MFN defaulted and filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Disruption of IETF Discussions

 

A reveiw of email to the IETF main list revealed 14 disruptive personal attacks out of 147 messages total between March 27, 2003 and September 1, 2005 sent to the IETF main list. That's almost 10% of Vixies' messages are personal attacks! Vixie was not chastised once during this time and this is unfair dealing by corrupt IETF officials, some of whom work for Vixie or are business partners with Vixie.
